Hi, I’m Vicky.
I specialize in working with people in recovery from addictions who feel stuck and need extra support. Together we can work through your unresolved problems towards well-being, emotional sobriety and sustained recovery.
I believe addictions, whether alcohol, drugs, gambling, relationships, work, or anything else, are a symptom of underlying pain, a coping mechanism.
When you stop changing the way you feel through your addiction, underlying issues can surface that you might need help working through.
I’m in long-term, abstinence-based recovery myself so understand addiction from a personal as well as a professional perspective.
I have a BA (1st class) in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and am in my final year of advanced training in Relational Integrative Psychotherapy at Scarborough Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Institute.
I’m a member of the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP), working towards accreditation and I abide by the ethical principles of Scarborough Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Institute (SCPTI) and UKCP. I’m fully insured, and DBS checked.
